Two Tips:

  • Your Game-Plan doesn't need to be long or complicated. The shorter and simpler, the better.
  • Every Game-Plan has to end with action steps. Actual actions you need to take on a daily basis.

Set Goals ➡ Create a Plan ➡ Execute ➡ Be Accountable

What the Experts say about Goals and Game-Plans

Peter Keating: "Guy Francon offered me a job with him some time ago. Today he said it's still open. And I don't know which to take."

Howard Roark: "If you want my advice, Peter, you've made a mistake already. By asking me. By asking anyone. Never ask people. Not about your work. Don't you know what you want? How can you stand it, not to know?"

Peter Keating: "You see, that's what I admire about you, Howard. You always know. But I mean it. How do you always manage to decide?"

Howard Roark: "How can you let others decide for you?”

Yale University Study

1953 Study at Yale University dealing with goals. Here's what they found:

  • 3% of the graduating class carried out a comprehensive goal-setting program.
  • 10% carried out a modest and incomplete program.
  • 87% carried out no program at all.

Twenty years later (in 1973) the 3% who had set comprehensive goals had accomplished more during that period than all of the other 97% combined!
