- Amateurs easily become demoralized by setbacks and defeat, and quietly slink back to their comfort zones.
- Alternatively, Professionals are comeback artists. They know that large-scale success is based upon a series of comebacks.
- Setbacks are set-ups for comebacks.
- Pros will comeback out of nowhere, just when everyone has counted them out. They are hardwired to focus on a vision and persevere at any cost.
- "A bet against a Pro, is a bad bet."
Regroup, Re-Charge, Charge!¶
Whenever you find yourself in the doldrums, do this:
Assess Your Success¶
- Take inventory of your successes so far. Review your Client's Worksheet and observe how many families you've helped. Take note of your AUM, number of client families, number of accounts, your Annual PAC GDC, your ARR etc.
Spring Cleaning¶
- Clean-up your email, calendar entries, voice mails and texts, and your tasks. Follow the Getting Things Done system
- Clean-up your contact database.
- Re-evaluate and re-set your Business Goals
Gratitude¶
Send you your clients a nice physical card thanking them for entrusting their financial future with you. This is not a marketing opportunity; do not ask for business nor for referrals. This is merely an act of gratitude, and it will do more for your soul than theirs.
